Both of these are pretty good period novels. The first one is pretty good-looking. The male protagonist has a golden finger. It's well-written and very close to life. The second book is a story about going to the countryside in southern Shaanxi to join a team and settle down as a village doctor. It is quite casual and has some shortcomings.
