The protagonist was adopted by an old Taoist priest. After the priest dies, he inherits his temple and obtains a fragment of a disc that lets him transmigrate to various worlds to cultivate. He brings back a fox from the first world, the Uncle Nine universe, and takes Xiaoqian away from *A Chinese Ghost Story*. He also has a childhood sweetheart.
