I recommend these three books. I think the content of the first two books is quite good, and I was shocked by the logical reasoning and imagination. The third book... I quit after reading it halfway through. It was indeed very difficult to read, so book friends, please do what you can. The background of the first book is modern times. The protagonist himself has the blood of a villain, but he has a righteous heart. The world view structure in it uses the twelve constellations (or twelve houses) as the twelve top criminals. If I remember correctly, one of them is a "hungry ghost" set by Cancer (because I read the book two years ago, so I can't remember clearly, please forgive me)... It's called a level. I think that left a deep impression on me. I also find the whole framework of the final revelation of the Paper Knife Killer and the protagonist's pursuit of the mystery of his parents' life experience very fascinating. It can be said that the more I watch, the more I get hooked. The protagonist in the second book is a descendant of Song Ci, so many of the techniques in it are based on ancient forensic medicine, which is also a highlight of this book. Both books are linked with the author's other masterpiece "The Merchant of the Underworld". The reason why I don't recommend "The Detective" is that I personally feel that the cases in it have a high degree of overlap with the previous work, and the reading experience for me is not as good as "The Underworld Detective".
