The intrigue between the protagonist and the emperor, civil servants, and warlords made my palms sweat. The level of wits was online. It had both a sense of excitement and a heavy sense of historical accumulation. It is not comparable to the kind of mindless and refreshing novels! For those who like hard-core plots + real history + battles of wits, this book is definitely a treasure!
