Driven Out in a Year of Famine, the Six-Year-Old Cutie Uses Animal Speech to Fill Her Granary

In a year of severe drought and famine, six-year-old Lin Xiaobao and her family are falsely accused of theft by their wicked stepmother, driven out in the middle of the night, and left to die in a ruined village!

But on the night their food runs out, Xiaobao unexpectedly awakens the gift of communicating with animals! A hen leads her to dig up ancient copper coins, a weasel guides her to an underground coal seam, and the old ox at the village entrance shows her a life-saving spring to claim.

With an intelligence network of birds and beasts from across the mountains, Xiaobao helps her whole family stockpile food and grow rich amid the disaster. Meanwhile, her biased grandmother at the old homestead is reduced to chewing tree bark. She leads the whole clan to kneel outside the estate, kowtowing and weeping blood as they beg for a bite to eat.

Xiaobao gives a cold laugh and is just about to unleash the dogs when a mighty eagle swoops down from the sky with a shocking report: "Little Bao, three thousand cavalry have come from the capital. They're charging straight for the family jade pendant your mother left behind!"
