After working himself to death from overtime, office drone Ling Yu opens his eyes to find himself the lowest of the low: a gray sparrow amid the ruins of Yu Mountain. He gets pecked by tits, chased by eagles, and hunted across the mountain by demon hunters with a bounty on his head. Until he swallows a blood-red pill fragment, and an evolution tree appears in his mind:
[Bloodline: Sparrow (Incomplete)]
[Next stage: Azure Bird, Progress: 1/10]
Devour the bloodlines of demon beasts to unlock evolution nodes.
Sparrow → Azure Bird → Bifang → Three-legged Golden Crow → Phoenix → Kunpeng!
An old crow pours cold water on his hopes. “You can count on one claw the number of ancient beasts that survive past three years.”
Ling Yu shakes his bluish feather tips. “I was born a divine bird. Evolving into a god makes perfect sense, right?”
