The Golden-Badge Taoist Sets the Cultivation World Straight

After transmigrating to this world of cultivation, Lin Chen becomes a servant disciple of the Qingyun Sect whose spiritual root has been crippled.

This is a cultivation world where everything depends on the quality of one's spiritual root. The sect's powerful figures collude with evil cultivators and treat ordinary lives with contempt. The wicked occupy positions of power, while the lives of the lowborn are worth less than grass. The whole order has long since rotted away.

Armed with a complete modern understanding of Taoist teachings, he refuses to follow the native cultivators' dogma that power is all that matters. He devotes himself to Taoist scriptures and masters ten variant sources, the Tiangang Seven-Star Steps, Thunderclap Fist, and every kind of thunder magic.

They preach lofty ideals of spiritual purity, yet commit every sort of disgraceful act behind closed doors.

They speak of the Heavenly Dao and karma, but make decisions based solely on strength and self-interest.

The so-called sect rules only ever restrain the powerless. Those who wield authority can trample right and wrong as they please.

This is no path to immortality or the Dao. It is a lawless underworld dressed in immortal robes. Might makes right. The powerful protect their own, frame the innocent, and decide what is right or wrong with a single word.

One day, disaster strikes him without warning, and suddenly his life is on the line. Lin Chen refuses to bow his head and accept death. He can only fight back and carve out a way to escape this cage.

But he knows that even if he evades his pursuers for a while, he cannot escape this entire twisted world.

Since there is no righteous path in this realm, and right and wrong have been turned upside down, he will rely on his Taoist skills to travel the world, eliminate evil, and set this rotten cultivation world straight!
