The Girl's War

Anotherworld continent, magic and magitech, strong female lead with no romance, world war, family bonds in troubled times.

In the Year 1914 of the Divine Era, a world war swept across the continent. Natasha, a fourteen-year-old girl from the Rossnia Empire, was the royal family's ill-fated star, prophesied to bring down the dynasty. Abandoned at birth, she was raised by a poor prostitute. The nations of the world split into two opposing camps and slaughtered one another. With famine rampant amid the chaos, she cut her hair and dressed as a boy to keep her little sister fed. By accident, she took the place of a deserter and was forcibly drafted into a boys' infantry battalion. Trenches, artillery fire, poison gas, bayonets, and endless corpses lay ahead. Between life and death on the battlefield, she awakened supreme magical power. On one side was the deadly struggle in the trenches; on the other, her little sister waiting in the slums for her to come home. A fourteen-year-old girl burdened with a prophecy of her country's fall fought with all her might to survive amid smoke and suffering, so she could return home and see her sister again.
