A Rough, Fatherly Man Raises a Fussy Little Princess

[1980s] [Childhood Sweethearts] [Fussy Female Lead] [Devoted Husband] [Rugged, Fatherly Hero]

Everyone said Li Guangyi had died while away serving in the army.

On the night Shen Zhu was forced to marry, furious, she gave the groom a powerful dose of medicine, tied him up like a dumpling, and stuffed him into the kang's hollow!

But just as her veil was lifted, the rugged childhood sweetheart rumored to have died in service climbed through the window into the bridal chamber, radiating menace, and kissed her until her eyes were red!

After taking several slaps from Shen Zhu, the tall, mighty male lead knelt obediently by the kang and apologized:

"Ancestress, did your hand hurt? Have you calmed down?"

Then he looked down and met the wide-open eyes of the groom, tied up like a bundle of scallions in the kang's hollow.

Li Guangyi's temple throbbed. "Shen Zhu, who's this guy under the kang?!"

Shen Zhu sat cross-legged on her coat, shelling peanuts and nervously blinking. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. This is the groom I officially married today..."

The young men from the village banged on the door, demanding to make a scene at the bridal chamber. Inside, the two of them crouched side by side, eating peanuts and discussing what to do. As they talked and talked...

Wait, why is there medicine in our nuptial wine too?!
