After Divorce, I Opened a Shop with My Child, and the Big Shot Chases Me Through Hell to Win Me Back

The day she signed the divorce papers, Su Wan took her five-year-old son back to the old alley her grandmother had left her and opened a tiny noodle shop with fewer than ten tables.

She had never asked anyone for anything in her life, but she believed in one thing: with a skill in your hands, you needn't be afraid.

What she didn't know was that Gu Yan, the quiet helper by the stove who chopped faster than a machine and only asked for room and board as payment, was the true heir to the Gu Group in the capital.

He kept his identity hidden and worked in her kitchen, flipping woks and washing dishes by day, shielding her from open attacks and hidden schemes by night.

Her ex-husband's family relentlessly pursued the century-old recipes her grandmother had left behind, doing everything they could: taking over the shop, cutting off supplies, buying trending topics, and fighting for custody.

But they never imagined that the man crouching at the noodle shop's entrance to tie the little one's shoelaces could change the entire commercial district with a single phone call.

From a little shop in an alley to the revival of the venerable Su Yuan brand, from being mocked across the internet to winning gold on the international stage, Su Wan turned her life around with a wok and finally saw the sincerity hidden beneath that man's apron.

But as the truth about what drove her grandfather to his death slowly came to light, the names it implicated sent chills through her whole body...

She would bring the decades-old grudges in this pot to a boil with her own hands, then serve them up one bowl at a time to those who owed their share.
