State Banquet Matriarch Dumps Her Husband, Kicks the White Lotus, and Heads to the Capital

{Period setting + an elderly woman reborn + imperial banquet master chef + face-slapping satisfaction + family squabbles + no forgiveness}

Jiang Guifang, head chef of the imperial banquet kitchen, had worked herself to the bone all her life. When she opened her eyes, she had returned to 1975!

At the time, her ungrateful son, a battalion commander in the military region, was turning his back on his country wife to carry on an affair with a virtuous-looking woman from the art troupe. He even wanted to drive his honest, hardworking daughter-in-law to her death and sell his little granddaughter!

Sixty-year-old Jiang Guifang was furious. She snatched up a huge iron ladle. “Have you gone blind? I’ll teach you how to behave today!”

Taking her daughter-in-law and granddaughter with her, she packed food coupons and a letter of introduction, then boarded a green-skinned train straight to the military region.

She tore into the fake sweetheart, beat the ungrateful son, and forced the scumbag to divorce his wife!

Life impossible after a divorce? What a joke!

With nothing but a spatula, Jiang Guifang turned coarse grains and wild greens into peerless delicacies.

Her braised pork made the children in the compound drool, while her plain cabbage soup astonished the military region’s senior officers!

Under her guidance, her daughter-in-law became a strong, independent woman, and she raised her little granddaughter into a chubby, rosy-cheeked darling.

Later, Jiang Guifang expanded her restaurant all the way to Dahongmen. With her peerless imperial banquet cooking, she promoted love for her country and family, rising to the pinnacle of her era!

And that scumbag son? He was begging on the street!
