After Reincarnating as a Fisherman's Daughter, I Support My Younger Sister by Foraging at Sea

[Farming] [Transmigration] [No Romance, Strong Female Lead] [Wild Imagination] [Adorable Little Sister] [Mountains and Sea as Backing]

When Jiang Wan opens her eyes, she has become an orphan in a fishing village, the daughter of a hunter. The only family she has left is her four-year-old little sister, Jiang Tang.

Their boat is broken, their nets are torn, and the rice jar is empty. The whole village is waiting to see them make fools of themselves.

She rolls up her sleeves. “There are wild animals in the mountains and fish and shrimp in the sea. What's there to be afraid of?”

She finds wild mushrooms while foraging for greens, discovers a giant stranded clam while combing the shore, and catches a rabbit in the mountains, then saves a clever little fox along the way.

Jiang Tang clings to the fox's tail. “Big Sis, it says there's a hot spring behind the mountain!”

The villagers gradually notice that meat smells rise from Jiang Wan's chimney before anyone else's, her vegetable garden stays lush and green even in winter, and her seafood is three times plumper than everyone else's.

The fishermen help repair her roof, the hunters teach her how to set snares, and the village women compete to braid Jiang Tang's hair.

“Wan, how do you dry this fish?”

“Jiang Tang, come to Auntie's house for some cakes!”

“You young men, don't even think about it. She said she won't marry, she's only interested in making money!”

Jiang Wan smiles as she counts her coins. “Tangtang, your big sister will build you a big tiled house.”

The little girl nods enthusiastically, still holding the fox. “And raise two pigs! One will be called Braised Pork, and the other Sweet and Sour Pork!”

The fox rolls its eyes and brings her a wild ginseng root.

Jiang Wan looks up at the mist-shrouded mountain behind the village, her eyes shining. This isn't some poor backwater. It's a mountain of gold and silver!

No romance, no household intrigue, just beachcombing, farming, and raising her little sister, while helping the whole fishing village prosper along the way. Make a living off the mountains and the sea: the word “hunger” doesn't exist in Jiang Wan's dictionary.
