Reclaiming Wasteland and Farming: I Picked Up a Baby Qilin and Spoiled It Rotten

[Farming] [Adorable Child, Doted on by All] [Fortune-Bringing Koi] [Building Wealth] [Face-Slapping Vicious Relatives] [Soft and Adorable, Scheming Little Qilin Blessing] vs. [Overpowered, Fiercely Protective Family]

The Great Yuan Dynasty has suffered years of severe drought, and plague runs rampant. The Shen family in a desolate village is so hungry their eyes glow green.

For the sake of half a sack of moldy bran, the wicked Grandma Shen drives the honest third branch of the family out of their home, expecting them to freeze or starve to death in the deep mountains.

But when the father of the third branch goes into the mountains to look for tree bark, he comes back with a baby girl who has soft little furry horns growing from her head!

The baby smiles at everyone she meets, saying "Snuggle!" at every turn, and dives into the arms of the third branch, refusing to leave.

The awful relatives sneer, "You can't even feed yourselves, and now you're raising a worthless girl? She'll starve to death sooner or later!"

But no one expects that this little bundle isn't human at all. She's a young qilin who descended to the mortal world to undergo tribulation!

As soon as the little blessing arrives, sweet spring water wells up in the third branch's dry well. A casual point of her finger reveals century-old wild ginseng all over the mountains. Even wild boars line up to smash into the courtyard wall, eager to become extra food!

Seeing the third branch eating and drinking well, the wicked grandma shows up to make a scene and steal their money?

The little blessing gives a soft, babyish wave, and misfortune rains from the heavens. The wicked grandma tumbles headfirst into a pile of cow dung!

Brutal bandits covet the mountain village's wealth and come down to loot it?

Protected by the qilin's auspicious aura, with all the beasts bowing to her, she terrifies the bandits into dropping to their knees, kowtowing and calling her their ancestor. They obediently pick up their hoes and go clear land for the village!

She cures the plague, drives away miasma, promotes farming, and helps the whole village grow rich.

The desperate villagers treat her like a living deity, while her domineering parents and two scheming older brothers spoil her rotten.

Shen Youyou rubs her round little belly and sighs: Who says farming is hard? Being carried by the whole family and eating until I'm full is just the best!
