Matriarchy: The Slacker County Magistrate Dreams of Training a Tsundere Official Slave

[Female-Dominated Society] [Feel-Good Story] [Infrastructure and Farming] [Goofy] [Devoted to Her Husband]

After transmigrating to the female-dominated Great Sheng Dynasty, Ji Wantang only wants to earn enough to get by. But at the Qingyin Pavilion, she encounters Xie Yunci, the disgraced official’s son, forced to entertain a noble guest.

Seeing his strained smile and reddened eyes, Ji Wantang decides she’s had enough.

“Let that man go. I’ll take it from here!”

In a dream, she returns to her first-birthday ceremony, grabs an abacus, and wakes up ready to trounce the dynasty’s greatest mathematicians.

Ji Wantang has no interest in high office or riches. In front of the assembled officials, she petitions the Empress to grant him his freedom.

Furiously, the Empress exiles her to Shiquan County, a place of extreme poverty, but Ji Wantang isn’t fazed in the least.

She hunts down corrupt officials and beats the bandits into submission, turning every displaced refugee into cheap labor.

The officials at court all think she must have died in Lingnan. Little do they know that six months later, cart after cart of fresh winter vegetables arrives in the capital, leaving the Empress stunned.

Not only has she survived, she’s climbed all the way from a rundown county magistrate’s post to Vice Minister of Revenue.

Ji Wantang spreads her hands innocently. “I swear, at first I really was just after my husband’s good looks! I only wanted to earn enough to get by, that’s all!”
