A Certain Scientific String Arts Master

Special notice [A word of warning]: This is a pure A Certain Scientific series novel, with no magic-side content. Much of the content is adapted and original, and many key details have been changed to accommodate the plot. The main setting is Academy City, but there are also storylines involving factions outside the city. The world is set in an era after the widespread adoption of superpowers. If this isn't to your taste, please leave now. Thank you.

To serve the story, many fictional characters are described as background characters. This is an entirely fictional world.

Dedicated to the anime characters I have loved from beginning to end, who brought me my first joy.

Official synopsis:

Because of conflict, humanity discovered the secrets hidden within the human body in the previous century, ushering in the age of superpowers.

In this century, superpowered individuals have become a vast global community, no longer a minority.

Academy City emerged amid these changes. Located in Tokyo, it became the world's largest technological city on an island devoted to superpowers, and the youngest, most vibrant new city in the world.

Chen Yu was an unremarkable international student. During his first three years abroad, he never believed Academy City's claims that it was a promised land for those with superpowers. His refuge had always been the place behind him.

In the end, Chen Yu realized that even if he lived an ordinary life, the light and darkness of Academy City would still come looking for him.
