The Eldest Princess Pursues Him Fiercely, and the Pure-Hearted General Blushes at One Flirtatious Move

[Sweet Romance + Two Strong Leads + Frenemies + Childhood Sweethearts + A Little Palace Intrigue and Political Scheming]

Beiming Qi had been chosen as Qin Jiayi's future husband since they were children.

He'd said hundreds of times that he wanted to break off the engagement. In private, though, he prayed, "Buddha, please let us grow up quickly, get married quickly, and start a home together."

Eighteen years flew by.

The young general returned victorious, and Qin Jiayi suspected he had become unfaithful to her.

He brought a woman back with him, and the Grand Princess stormed the general's residence. She thought he would protect the woman, but he simply let her make a scene.

Even when the woman had saved his life, his wife still came first.

For her, he was willing to be a man who broke his word.

Qin Jiayi acted recklessly, with no regard for consequences.

A country girl comes looking for trouble? Throw her in the river and put her in a pig cage.

Her younger sister drugs and plots against her? She gives her a taste of her own medicine and throws her into a crowd of men.

Then comes the hardest problem of all.

She schemes to help her younger brother win the succession, but her own brother is a lovesick fool who keeps sneaking out of the palace to see that woman.

Qin Jiayi dons the imperial robes and impersonates him: "...You flatter me."

-

After the wedding, the young general grows more and more strange.

Day one: "My lady, we didn't consummate our marriage last night. Let's make up for it this morning."

Day two: "My lady, let's have a child."

Day N: "My lady, your husband is coming!" (Pounces)

Qin Jiayi: "???"

Whatever happened to being sworn enemies?

Whatever happened to wanting to break off the engagement?

Whatever happened to being at each other's throats for the rest of our lives?
