Great Tang: From the Start, I'm a Condemned Prisoner Begging Li Er to Make Me a Corrupt Official

[Comedy + Tricking Li Shimin + Tricking Li Chengqian + Tricking Everyone]

At Xuanwu Gate, Chen An transmigrated into the body of Li Jiancheng's most loyal follower. He had already made off with half the Eastern Palace's fortune and fled to Jiangnan to live in seclusion.

Then Wei Zheng actually sold him out.

"Wei Zheng, damn you to hell!"

The officials of the whole court waited for Chen An to kneel and beg for mercy, but he spoke up in front of everyone:

"Your Majesty, please appoint me as a corrupt official."

Not one who embezzles the people's money. Whenever I recover taxes hidden by the great clans, I will take a ten percent cut.

The imperial relatives will be treated the same as everyone else. Anyone who gets in my way will be executed first, with a report to follow!

With the treasury empty and the Turks at the border, Li Shimin gritted his teeth and bestowed a Golden Dragon Plaque upon him.

From then on, the nobles of Chang'an lived in fear.

Chen An held up his ledger, beaming:

"Everyone, time to pay your taxes!"
