Night-Shift Funeral Director: I Can Hear the Dead Speak

[Late-night paranormal mysteries + episodic investigations + accumulating karmic merit, plenty to read, updated daily without fail]

My name is Lin Chen. I'm twenty-four, unemployed and in debt. I returned to my hometown to inherit the funeral home my great-uncle left behind.

On my first night at work, the corpse of a woman in the morgue spoke:

“I wasn't drinking. I'm allergic to alcohol...”

“My fiancé pushed me down the stairs. He bought two million yuan in insurance on me.”

“Please, don't let him burn me just like that.”

From then on, the funeral home where I worked the night shift was never quiet again:

Murders disguised as accidents, vengeful ghosts unable to rest, mothers who couldn't bear to leave their children, unidentified bodies delivered in the middle of the night...

Every body had a story left untold.

And I was the only one who could hear it.

Help the dead fulfill their final wishes to earn karmic merit. Gather enough merit, and you can travel to the underworld.

My great-uncle left a note before he died: The lives of those who keep vigil over the dead don't belong to them.

I didn't believe it.

Not until I discovered that my great-uncle... hadn't died of illness at all.
