Daoist Venerable of the Late Qing: My Immortal Arts Are All Modern Technology

Gengzi, 1900. A snowy night in Tianjin.

A Russian soldier stabbed a laborer in the thigh right in the street. Arterial blood spurted everywhere, Qing patrol troops looked on coldly, and the people knelt on the ground, waiting to die.

The Taoist temple doors opened. Chen Dao stepped out into the snow in a Taoist robe, night-vision goggles hidden beneath it. A soft click, and the foreign soldier fell. Everyone thought it was an invisible punishment from Heaven.

No one knew that this "Daoist Venerable of the modern age" was a transmigrator, a PMC tactical expert. His so-called immortal arts were all proven modern technology.

The Qing court issued an imperial decree offering him an official pardon, hoping to bring him under its control. Chen Dao tore up the decree and refused to submit.

The ironclad ships of the Eight-Nation Alliance swaggered across the sea, intent on carving up China, but were devastated by artillery fire, and the waters were engulfed in a towering sea of flames.

Obstinate nobles in the capital colluded with foreign enemies, hoping to lay siege to the divine realm of the Taoist temple. On a stormy night, a hundred drones took to the sky and unleashed a devastating heavenly punishment. The imperial authority of the old era came crashing down!

Chen Dao would not personally govern, become a politician, or deliver speeches. He presented a new code for governing the land as the "Heavenly Rules" and supported reformers in putting new policies into practice.

Anyone who obstructed reforms meant to improve people's lives or resisted the spread of education would face heavenly retribution.

The fear and panic caused by slaughter could power his base, while prosperity and order could also be converted into the strength of his divine realm.

When orbital weapons targeted enemy strongholds overseas, the entire world would tremble beneath the might of this outpost base!
