The Whole Internet Weeps! The Three-and-a-Half-Year-Old Little Darling Gives Herself to the Nation

[Adorable Child] [Turned Over to the State] [Fallen Heroes Come Home] [A Cat's Divine Assist] [Episodic Tearjerker] [Modern-Day Rescue]

Synopsis:

Three-and-a-half-year-old Tang Nuannuan lives in an orphanage at the foot of a mountain. Her favorite thing is picking up things other people have thrown away.

A rusty police badge, a blackened helmet, a letter home that was never sent, a pair of little sneakers buried in the rubble...

Everyone else calls them junk, but Nuannuan can hear them crying.

“Nuannuan, I want to go home.”

“Nuannuan, please tell Mom I wasn't scared.”

“Nuannuan, tell my child that Dad promised.”

Then one day, the little girl finds a chubby orange cat wearing a medal around its neck.

The cat says, “Meow! Don't pick up junk, pick up heroes!”

From then on, the three-and-a-half-year-old darling carries the cat and a book called The Homecoming Register, drawing the attention of the national team.

The last letter from an anti-drug police officer, a firefighter's wedding ring trapped beneath the rubble, a photograph that a hero of the War of Resistance never got to send, a border guard's harmonica left behind on a snowy ridge...

One by one, their names are remembered again.

One by one, the heroes finally come home.

Later, the whole internet is asking:

“Nuannuan, where is the next hero?”

The little girl wipes her tears and solemnly opens the Homecoming Register.

“Don't worry. Nuannuan will bring them all home, one by one.”
