Five-Year-Old Tangtang Turns Herself In and Brings Fallen Heroes Home

[Adorable Child] [Handing Over to the State] [No Romance] [Episodic] [Patriotic] [Narcotics Officers] [Firefighters] [Doctors] [Teachers] [Tearjerking and Heartwarming] [Positive Energy]

Five-year-old Tang Tang has a little secret she must never tell: she can "hear" the heartbeats of heroes deep beneath the earth.

The bones forgotten in remote mountains, at the borders, and beneath ruins whisper softly in her ear that they want to go home.

So, clutching a teddy bear with one ear missing, she knocks on the door of the municipal public security bureau. "Uncle Police Officer, I want to hand myself over to the state! I want to bring the heroic grandpas, grandmas, uncles, and aunties home!"

From then on, the undercover code words a narcotics officer kept secret for twenty years, the final door a firefighter pushed open, the last lesson a rural teacher wrote on the blackboard... One by one, names buried in time are brought back to light by a little dumpling of a child.

Our land is at peace because people carry the burden for us. This time, it's our turn to bring them home.
