Little Mousey, a golden hamster, is a top-tier star among mouse-kind and a livestreaming food blogger. Her three greatest pleasures in life are cracking sunflower seeds, nibbling cherries, and praying she won’t get stepped on by a human.
Then, at two in the morning one day, she was caught red-handed stealing peanuts from a grain storehouse by a man in a suit with a severe case of germophobia.
His name was Lu Hanting, president of the Lu Group and the business world’s very own King of Hell. He was allergic to furry animals, but somehow, he wasn’t allergic to her.
“Take her home.” He slipped her into his suit pocket as if he were carrying a peanut that could breathe.
From then on, Little Mousey moved into a mansion, slept in a luxurious three-story cage, and ate cherries shipped directly from Chile.
Lu Hanting’s catchphrase changed from “What’s the profit margin on this project?” to “How many pine nuts did she eat today?” She pooped on his sofa, swam in his coffee cup, napped during his company meetings, and even snored in his pocket.
Lu Hanting: “She’s different. She has manners.”
Assistant: “How is she different???”
Lu Hanting: “She knows how to bow.”
Then one day, Little Mousey transformed in front of him into a girl wearing round glasses, her hair tied in a bun. Lu Hanting was silent for three seconds, then said, “Can you... turn back? I want to watch you eat sunflower seeds.”
Little Mousey tried to run. Lu Hanting blocked the door. “You ate my cherries and slept on my pillow. And now you want to run?”
Little Mousey: “What do you even like about me?”
Lu Hanting: “You were so cute when you stole my cherries.”
Little Mousey: “That’s called stealing.”
Lu Hanting: “But you stole your way into my heart.”
Little Mousey (gagging like a mouse)
As for me, this little mouse is dancing on the domineering CEO’s heart again today.
