Unmarried at Seventeen

Who could have seen this coming!

After getting drunk, Shen Du blurted out a reckless remark. When he woke up, he had somehow tied the top martial arts scholar, Bu Rang, to himself for good.

Everyone was certain Bu Rang despised this absurd imperial marriage.

But when they shared a bed at night, he kept edging closer to Shen Du.

His breath brushed Shen Du’s neck, and his fingertips casually grazed his wrist.

Shen Du was baffled.

Was Bu Rang merely forced to obey the imperial decree, or had he been coveting Shen Du all along?

Bu Rang couldn’t make sense of it either.

When Shen Du asked for his hand in marriage in the Golden Throne Hall, was it just a drunken whim, or a plan the young man had kept hidden for years?

Each carried their own suspicions, deliberately keeping their distance while unable to resist drawing closer.

They were wary of each other at every turn, yet their hearts slipped beyond their control, little by little.

But this ill-fated bond, tossed their way on a whim by imperial power, had no escape from the very beginning.

By the time they finally came to their senses, they were already covered in wounds, with nothing left but to part and go their separate ways.
