The Uncanny Descends, and My Authority Is Scattered Across the Mortal World

Five hundred years after the cataclysm, a group of looters dug me out of the ruins.

They planned to sell me for a good price.

Back then, I had neither memories nor power.

That changed when they placed an object recovered from the ruins before me.

I reclaimed my first shard of authority.

When I left the ruins, I found that humanity had built cities atop the remains of the old world.

Beyond the walls, missing trains still ran, uninhabited blocks lit up every night on schedule, and certain places allowed people to enter but not leave.

My power was scattered across these places.

Some revered it as a miracle, some sealed it away as taboo, and others used it to rule entire cities.

And I was taking it all back, piece by piece.

As my strength returned, more and more supernatural things began appearing around me.

They roamed and followed me, repeatedly trying to invade my mind.

I killed some of them.

Then one day, I finally made out the voice.

It was calling my name!
