After Ten Years of Silence, I Chanted the Golden Light Mantra to Suppress the Heavens

Lu Chen is the last disciple of Taixu Temple.

Ten years ago, his master sealed "that thing" beneath the earth with his life. With his dying breath, he left just one instruction: "Keep silent. Recite the spell. For ten years."

So Lu Chen truly kept his mouth shut.

For ten years, people called him "the mute." They poured filth on him, threw stones at him, and drove him away countless times. He swept the bluestone slabs of the dilapidated temple for 3,650 days.

No one knew that every second of those ten years, he was silently reciting in his heart the supreme scripture of the world's Taoist sects: the Golden Light Divine Incantation.

Each character, a kowtow. Each sentence, a world.

After reciting it hundreds of millions of times, he forged a supreme storehouse of incantations.

On the final night of the tenth year, a century-old vengeful ghost broke free of its seal. The elite of the Arcane Affairs Bureau were routed, and the entire city descended into panic.

Lu Chen stood at the temple gate and opened the mouth he hadn't used in ten years.

"Perish."

Golden light blazed in all directions, and the vengeful ghost disintegrated into ash.

From that day on, all three realms learned one thing:

The mute who swept the floors at Taixu Temple had spoken.

And the seal beneath the earth had begun to crack.
