Uncle Next Door, Your Sharp Tongue Isn’t Working on Me

[Age Gap + Two Male Leads + Younger Man + Pure Love]

Uncle, your world is so cold. Let me warm it up for you.

At 32, Su Yu had turned himself into an island. His severe mysophobia and social anxiety had led him to build a wall with his sharp tongue, shutting out the whole world. Then 21-year-old Xiao Ye came crashing in like a runaway sun.

He got paint on Su Yu's door. Su Yu scolded him for being clueless, but he just grinned and asked, “Uncle, can I come over for dinner?”

He knocked over Su Yu's frozen dumplings. Su Yu called him clumsy, but when a pipe burst, he was the first to rush over and plug the leak, shouting, “Uncle, where's the main water valve?”

When Su Yu collapsed with a fever, Xiao Ye complained sharply, “You're more fragile than a plaster statue,” while spoon-feeding him porridge. When Su Yu's sister exposed the wound left by his childhood isolation, Xiao Ye stood in front of him and declared, “I like it when he keeps me in line! From now on, I'll be the one pestering you!”

It turned out that all those overbearing rules were just the clumsy tests of a soul longing for warmth. All that biting sarcasm was just self-protection, born of a fear of being abandoned.

At Xiao Ye's graduation art exhibition, his painting The Intruder stunned the crowd. Su Yu stood among them, gazing at the cold world in the painting as it was embraced by a swath of warm colors. This time, would he retreat, or bravely walk toward his “intruder”?
