Three years ago, Zheng Yuan was betrayed by his wife, Liu Mei, and his close friend, Chen Wei. He became a test subject in top neuroscientist Wen Yan's "human nature experiment," where his personality was repeatedly rewritten in a virtual world, subjecting him to humiliation and despair. Three years later, he forced himself awake from the experiment pod, carrying the "Human Nature Judgment System." Everything before him had changed beyond recognition: his daughter, Zheng Xiaomeng, had become Wen Yan's adopted daughter, his wife had married Chen Wei, and the entire city was rushing to embrace the "Ideal City" project.
The so-called "Ideal City" was a mass experiment in human nature, launched by Wen Yan under the guise of charity. Using his own daughter, Wen Tiantian, as the "perfect specimen," he sought to prove that "personality can be programmed." He cultivated public adoration by presenting himself as the perfect dad, all to cover up the truth. Zheng Yuan discovered that his remaining System functions were limited: he could only read a target's "humanity score," and only three times a day. Meanwhile, more than a hundred of Wen Yan's modified "perfect puppets" were already lying in wait throughout the city.
Disguised as a cleaner, Zheng Yuan infiltrated Ideal City's core zone and began his counterattack, starting with the experimental subjects' efforts to save themselves. He exploited loopholes in the rules, maintaining the public image of an "Ideal City model citizen" while secretly awakening and rescuing the test subjects one by one. The truth gradually came to light: Wen Yan's real plan went far beyond modifying ordinary citizens. He intended to replace the city's entire leadership with "programmable puppets" and rule from the shadows.
