The Useless Teammate System: I Become a God in a Horror Game

[Two male leads, angst and thrills, a regretful pursuit of a lost love, devoted love between two loyal partners, misunderstandings, and coercive love]

A poor, sweet, frail beauty who could die at any moment, Jiang Ji, as the shou, versus a domineering, remorseful first love and expert ghost BOSS, Lin Shenque / Yuque, as the gong

Synopsis:

Jiang Ji (Ji) livestreams horror games under his real name, and everyone online calls him “Gay Bro.”

No one knows that an inoperable fragment is lodged in his brain, and he could die at any moment. That’s why every penny he earns from livestreaming goes into a special account at the city hospital.

The person lying in the hospital bed is Lin Shenque, Jiang Ji’s first love, who has been in a vegetative state since a car accident three years ago.

Luckily, he gets the [“Teammate Sabotage System” System: sabotage every member of the team, and your vegetative first love will wake up healthy].

Jiang Ji is overjoyed: I’m a professional bad teammate, here to sabotage everyone!

He does his utmost to wreck things for everyone, but then

He slips on a banana peel and knocks a vengeful ghost into an incinerator.

He gives directions at random and sends the whole team straight into a hidden treasure room.

He cries, “I don’t want to hurt anyone,” and the BOSS blows itself up on the spot.

The viewers kneel and call him Dad, ghosts take a detour when they see him, and the top players on the server fight over him so fiercely they take it offline and settle it with a real-life brawl.

There’s only one person who wants him dead...

That person is Yuque, the number-one player on the server! He targets Jiang Ji relentlessly, choking him, tormenting him, and giving him the cold shoulder.

It turns out Yuque is his first love, Lin Shenque. Resentment turned him into a ghost, and he believed Jiang Ji had caused his death back then, so he pursued him to exact revenge.

But the person he’s taking revenge on is the very one risking his life to save him.

Jiang Ji doesn’t know. He only hopes that before I die, I can make him understand that I love him.

1. The gong does not change; happy ending.

2. The gong genuinely torments the shou in the early part of the story
