I Only Wanted to Sign In, Never to Become Emperor

[Farming] [Lighthearted Fun] [One Female Lead] [Light Political Intrigue]

Zhang Xian transmigrated to the Great Qian Dynasty, becoming an idle, peripheral prince who could be sacrificed at any moment in the struggle for the throne. Here, a cunning chief minister held power over the court, corrupt officials colluded with one another, and deadly schemes lurked at every turn.

Zhang Xian's only advantage was that every day when he woke up, he automatically received a sign-in reward: one "modern knickknack."

At first, he only wanted to use these little gadgets to improve his meals and earn a few taels of silver to spend at the pleasure houses.

But as the daily items grew more and more outrageous, the way the people of Great Qian looked at him began to change.

Then high-yield rice seedlings brought in a bumper harvest across Jiangnan, and Divine Might General cannons sent an army attempting rebellion to the afterlife at the capital gates.

Forced to stand before the imperial throne in the Hall of Supreme Harmony, Zhang Xian watched the people of Great Qian cry, "Long live the emperor!" and sighed helplessly:

"The day I got high-yield rice seedlings from sign-in, all I wanted was to be a farming prince, quietly ruling my little corner of the world."

"The day I got The Analects from sign-in, I wanted to be the wisest of the Eight Worthy Princes."

"When I got the Guide to Making Firearms with Simple Methods from sign-in, all I could say was, eight hundred it is. I want to give it a try."
