Zhang Wenxuan transmigrates into the world of Love in the Courtyard, takes the place of his late uncle, becomes a driver at a steel mill, and arrives in the capital with a portable space. As soon as he reaches the courtyard, Jia Zhangshi tries to seize his uncle's public housing. Refusing to let the neighbors smooth things over, he calls in the neighborhood committee and the factory security office, stands up to the Jia family, and takes back the home.
