The Tycoon’s Future Daughter-in-Law Clocks Out Right on Time

[Pretend fiancée + clear-headed and money-loving + mutual flirting + love that grows over time]

Xu Zhiyi landed a great gig: pretend to be a wealthy family's future daughter-in-law for three months, for 300,000 yuan.

On her first day at work, the man's aunt offered her a check. "500,000. Leave Yanzhou."

She pushed the money back with a pained look and took the man beside her by the hand. "With a face like his, I want to see him again tomorrow."

Gu Yanzhou knew she was acting, but still let her hold his arm all the way there.

That is, until the six o'clock alarm rang. She let go and stood up straight. "Mr. Gu, thanks for your hard work today."

"Didn't you just say you couldn't do without me?"

"That was at 5:59."

Keeping their private lives separate was a rule Gu Yanzhou had set himself.

Later, he was the one asking if she was free that evening, and the one who, after hearing her say she liked him, still needed to confirm whether that counted after work.

Xu Zhiyi loved money and pretty dresses, and admitted she was happy spending time with him.

But she still went to dinner when her friends invited her.

He began looking forward to her coming to work, and found it harder and harder to let her leave at the end of the day.

And the breakup line she'd rehearsed in advance grew harder and harder to say.
