Three Kingdoms: From the Start, Zhao Yun's Brother Steals Guan Yu and Zhang Fei Away

When history professor Zhao Tong opened his eyes, he had become the older brother of Zhao Yun of the Three Kingdoms, who had just died of illness.

Beside his bed was Zhao Yun, only seventeen years old. Outside the window lay the Han dynasty in the fifth year of Guanghe. It took him three seconds to accept reality, then the mind he'd honed through thirty years of studying the Three Kingdoms quickly sorted out the timeline. The first year of Zhongping had not yet arrived. The Yellow Turban Rebellion had not begun. An age of chaos was about to descend.

And he knew the fate of every person in the years to come.

Liu Bei was still weaving mats and selling shoes. Guan Yu was still a fugitive on the run. Zhang Fei was still slaughtering pigs and selling wine. Cao Cao had yet to be recommended as a filial and incorrupt official, while Yuan Shao was still a wandering swordsman in Luoyang. Dong Zhuo was fattening himself up in Xiliang, and Lu Bu was honing his halberd in Bingzhou.

Most of the greatest strategists and warriors in the realm were still unknown, scattered across every corner of the Han dynasty.

Zhao Tong took the bowl of medicine his younger brother handed him, but his gaze had already traveled beyond their dilapidated thatched hut. As the only literate person in the village, he knew better than anyone that knowledge was power, and that foresight was a mandate from heaven.

Before anyone else made a name for themselves, he would take hold of the hands that would change the course of history.

In the peach garden of Zhuo Commandery, he would plant a tree of his own.

He would show the world that someone had come from the future, carrying the entire script of the Three Kingdoms.

"Zilong," he said, setting down the empty bowl. "The realm is about to fall into chaos. We need to set out early."

Young Zhao Yun still did not understand what the light in his elder brother's eyes meant. It was the fire that could only burn in someone who had seen through an entire era.
