Chen Ce, a top modern-day science and engineering student and Army engineer, is caught in an accident during a classified military research experiment. He transmigrates to the battlefield of the Battle of Yiyang between Qin and Han, in a parallel version of the late Warring States period, bringing along his AI assistant, Doubao. He awakens in the body of a dying Han soldier. Doubao's emergency treatment saves his life, and after killing a Qin scout, he joins the remnants of the Han army. Using his modern engineering knowledge, he improves their arrows and makes his first mark.
Chen Ce gradually reveals his talent for military engineering. He improves Han crossbows, invents stirrups and saddles, and forges steel weapons. After crushing the Qin army at Yiyang and shocking the Han court, he goes to Xinzheng and wins over the ruler and his ministers. He takes charge of the Bureau of Military Engineering, establishes an arsenal, foils schemes by the old nobility and Qin spies, and takes complete control of Han's real power.
To strengthen Han and make the kingdom prosper, Chen Ce joins forces with Han Yuan and Zhang Ce to carry out reforms. He builds waterworks, trains a new army, and centralizes power, causing Han's national strength to soar. Later, he allies with Zhao to defeat Wei, helping Han rise as a great power in the Central Plains. When Qin invades with its entire might, he stands firm to defend Xinzheng and foils Qin's plot to destroy Han. He then leads his army to sweep across the Six States, unifying the Central Plains in six years. After unification, Chen Ce campaigns north against the Xiongnu, pacifies the Northern Di, and brings the Baiyue in the south to heel. He secures the coast, launches an expedition to Japan, extends his influence across the Southern Seas, and opens routes west through the southwest, bringing countless states under his rule. He ascends the throne and establishes the Huaxia Empire.
At last, Chen Ce makes the nation strong through science and technology, establishes an industrial system and institutes of science and engineering, and lays the foundations for Huaxia to endure for generations. He leaves the promise of future exploration among the stars, completing his legendary rise from a lowly border soldier to the founding emperor.
This book is good, the description is not so imaginative and it fits the plot very well
