A Great Sun Buddha from the Start, Why Is My Soul Banner Oozing Black Smoke?

[Contrasting Holy Monk] [Buddha's Inner Voice] [Decisive and Ruthless] [Satisfying Level-Up Story] [Unmatched Merit]

Du Xie opened the fantasy game The Great Sun Buddha.

Ever since cosplaying as the youthful version of the Great Sun Tathagata, he had picked up plenty of good habits.

For example... using a Banner of Ten Thousand Souls to deliver people to the afterlife, or helping them achieve cybernetic immortality.

Patrol Wind Leader: "Holy Monk, why is your spirit banner giving off black smoke?"

Du Xie: "I've slain too many demons. Indigestion and diarrhea are perfectly normal."

[Subduing Demons Palm Proficiency: Basic Understanding -> Proficient]

As long as he completed the guidance quests from the Great Sun Buddha System, he could obtain the true teachings of Buddhism.

Techniques such as the One-Leaf Bodhi Finger, Dragon-Elephant Prajna Skill, and Diamond Prajna Paramita Sutra were all available.

Along the way, Du Xie also developed a number of principles for conducting himself.

[First Buddhist Precept: Subdue their evil, but do not reform their hearts.]

This monk only subdues. He does not deliver people to salvation...

[Third Buddhist Precept: The Diamond's punishment may seem cruel, but in truth it cuts off your evil causes and spares you the great suffering of the cycle of reincarnation.]

You should thank me for subduing you.

[Eighth Buddhist Precept: Crush evil the moment it appears. Do not wait until another day.]

This monk gets revenge on the spot.

[Tenth Buddhist Precept: What falls by the roadside has no owner to claim it. Once it comes into my hands, it is mine.]

Whatever catches this monk's eye belongs to this monk.

[Eleventh Buddhist Precept: They are all deluded fools, with no goodness in their hearts. There is no need to be bound by notions of good and evil.]

From what this monk can see, where are all the good people...?

[Twelfth Buddhist Precept: Silent and speechless, one receives the flavor of the Dharma and finds peace within.]

He didn't cry out in pain, so he must be enjoying it!
