Once, the young rode across rivers and mountains, swords in hand beneath the night sky.
On this journey, they sought no immortality, only to have no regrets.
Eight young people, each with a different identity, full of ambition and spirit.
They were never meant to become friends.
But an unexpected incident brought them together.
Those years, they competed for first place, braved secret realms, drank the strongest liquor, and climbed the tallest tower on a night when the whole city blazed with lights, laughing as they promised to do it all together again the following year.
Back then, they were all still young.
They thought every mountain could be climbed,
every distant road could be traveled.
There would be another chance to confess to the person they loved. They could finish their unfinished fights next year, and someday they would repay the money they owed for drinks.
Only later did they realize that what truly stood in their way was never demons or monsters.
