Azao, a hunter's daughter from Beize Town, finds an amnesiac drifter on the riverbank. She calls him a “lazybones,” yet gives him food and clothes. He can wipe out a pack of wolves with a wave of his hand and lift an anvil with one arm, while an uncontrollable power from the abyss lies hidden inside him. Iron Elder says anyone with violet eyes will go mad and die within three years. Azao grips the coral pendant at her neck. “Then I'll keep it under control.” He is the Supreme Lord of the Abyss, yet willingly stays in the woodshed to chop firewood and cuddle the baby. She says anyone she brings home becomes family. He says she's a pain, but he never leaves.
