The Little Darling Calls Birds to Find Her Family, and Her Birth Father Tears the Wicked Stepmother Apart

Chu Chuy Yao is feeding magpies pieces of a hard corn bun. People laugh at her for being foolish, not knowing that this little girl has gained a painful memory in her mind.

In that dream, her wicked stepmother leaves her with poor relatives in the countryside to be abused, then turns around and acts like a virtuous, long-suffering woman in front of her biological father in the city.

She suddenly opens her eyes. Chu Chuy Yao doesn't cry or make a fuss. Instead, she awakens a spirit-communing ability! She claps her little hands, and a magpie from a tree carries a letter pleading for help straight to the desk of a factory director in the city. A horde of rats from the sewer pours into her stepmother's expensive wardrobe and tears it to shreds.

When her imposing factory-director father storms into the shabby countryside house, red-eyed, he happens upon the ugly truth beneath his stepmother's hypocritical mask.

Chu Chuy Yao seizes the chance to throw herself into her father's arms, points at her stepmother, and says in the softest voice, "Goodbye, mean auntie!"

Her stepmother faces ruin and disgrace, while the little darling is welcomed with her father's boundless affection and the protection of birds and beasts from across the mountains and plains.
