High Martial: I Subdue the Eternal by Collecting Corpses

Thirty years after the spiritual qi revival, martial arts reign supreme.

Chen Sanjin is the most infamous loser at Linjiang No. 1 High School. With a blood-and-qi score of 0.9 and two failed martial arts entrance exams behind him, he slinks home to inherit his grandfather’s funeral home.

While others train in martial arts, he cremates corpses.

That is, until one stormy night, an unidentified body is brought to Yong’an Funeral Home

[Body received and rites completed. Reward: ten years’ worth of blood and qi.]

[Body received and rites completed. Reward: Blade Art, Soul Severing.]

From then on, an unspoken rule takes hold in Linjiang City: after dark, don’t mess with the guy who cremates bodies.

Later, when the gods fall and all races bow before him, a reporter asks him the secret to becoming a god.

Chen Sanjin tosses another log into the furnace without looking up.

“I’m not much good at anything. I just can’t stand seeing a guest lying there with no one to take care of them.”

Since you’re here, lie still. I’ll see you on your way.
