I Have a Gold Mine on an Alien Planet

Rural life + working-class roots + world's richest man + rise to success + alien superpowers + alien civilization. Unemployed worker Zhao Hai accidentally acquires a round, gold-edged mirror that lets him travel to an alien world and mine gold, making a fortune. But when he returns to his hometown, he pretends to be a down-and-out man to test his Tibetan wife, Wangmu. Hoping to inspire him to succeed, Wangmu sets an example: she sells her hair and works hard, enduring gossip without ever leaving his side. In the end, he accepts her sincerity, while Zhao Hai has secretly become a mining tycoon. Queen Pachala of Hat Planet chooses him as her envoy, hoping to use Earth's technology to break the aristocracy's monopoly. Zhao Hai pretends to be greedy and lustful, and he and the queen stage a double act to lure in the rebels and their honey trap. In the end, he puts down the rebellion in one strike, combining lasers with lunar incantations. A second lunar ring appears behind the mirror, and a new world hides an even deeper conspiracy.
