The Song Dynasty Lies in Ruins: From the Start, I’m a Street Thug

[Ancient setting] [Northern Song] [No System] [No golden finger]

In the first year of Jingkang (1126), Chen Qingzhi is a penniless, frail, down-and-out street thug among Bianjing’s lowest dregs. An orphan with no money to his name, he scrapes by in the city’s most disorderly southern entertainment quarter and slums, enduring constant abuse.

Beaten to death over two steamed buns, he wakes again as a master physician unrivaled in both Chinese and Western medicine.

With Yuan troops besieging the city, gangs preying on the people, and food and medicine running short, he leads a group of struggling commoners in a desperate fight to survive.
