It’s the Apocalypse, and You Still Think a Simp Will Carry You?

[Apocalypse] [Decisive and ruthless] [No coddling] [Profit above all] [Power]

The Apocalypse arrives, and order collapses.

Forty-three employees are trapped in an office building with only enough food for two days.

Some immediately start saying:

“Men should protect women.”

“Food should be divided equally.”

“You're a grown man. How can you be so stingy?”

After hearing them out, Zhao Zhen lays down just three rules.

Want to eat? Fine. Work for it first.

Want a bigger share? Fine. Risk your life for it.

Want others to protect you? Fine. First prove you're worth protecting.

From that moment on, no one is entitled to be given special treatment just by virtue of who they are.

Some go out to kill monsters, some transport supplies, some treat the wounded, and some stand guard at night.

The more you contribute, the more you eat.

The greater the risk you take, the more power you have.

As for those who refuse to do anything but still want to coast on tears, moralizing, and the question “Are you even a man?”...

Zhao Zhen simply points to the door.

“Don't like my rules?”

“There's the door.”

Later,

while everyone else is still arguing over how to divide a bottle of water, Zhao Zhen already controls the entire building.

While everyone else huddles together for warmth, he starts taking control of the food, weapons, and population.

As the old world's rules die for good, a new order rises from the ruins.

At last, Zhao Zhen realizes:

The most precious thing in the Apocalypse has never been food.

It's the power to decide who gets it.
