The Moment the Shutter Clicked, She Fell for Him

Shen Mo used to be a war photographer. His lens had witnessed life and death countless times.

An explosion three years ago took away the person who mattered most to him, and he put down his camera. Now he runs a private photography studio in a quiet corner of the city, photographing just one client a day, with bookings filled four months in advance. The women who come to him all have their own stories. Some want to hold on to their youth, some want to say goodbye to the past, and some simply want to see themselves as they are, beyond anyone else’s labels.

Shen Mo never crosses the line. When the shutter falls, he captures their most authentic selves.

Then one day, in an old alley being cleared for demolition, he found a wall covered in secretly taken photographs. Every woman in the pictures had once posed at his studio.

Someone was watching them from the shadows. And watching him, too.

The fallout from the explosion three years ago was gathering once more. This time, Shen Mo would not run away.

In the instant the shutter clicked, he would either capture the truth or become the next face in a photograph.
