Hong Kong Island Crime Boss: From the Start, I Had Gangsters Raise Pigs

After transmigrating to Hong Kong Island in the 1980s, Lu Jinghe becomes the new boss of a bankrupt triad.

Looking at his thousands of underlings, all covered in tattoos and always clamoring to chop people up, yet unable to afford even a boxed meal, he binds himself to the [Agriculture Assistance System].

“Being a gangster gets you nowhere! Put down those cleavers, pick up shovels, and come raise pigs with me in the New Territories!”

From then on, the criminal underworld of Hong Kong Island takes a complete turn for the strange.

Hung Hing wants to grab territory? The legal department sues them outright and demands ten million in damages for trampled crops!

Crow the Eastern Star flips a table? They break his legs, toss him into a biogas pit, and make him haul manure as part of his rehabilitation!

When a fully armed O Division inspector kicks open the triad’s warehouse, he finds hundreds of tattooed bruisers studying A Guide to Postpartum Care for Sows and Greenhouse Farming Techniques under the lights.

The police break down: “We’ve been watching him for three years, and he hasn’t evaded a cent in taxes. He’s even taken charge of feeding the people of Hong Kong Island and become one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons?”

Years later, Lu Jinghe, now a global fresh-food industry monopolist, looks innocent in an interview. “Underworld kingpin? That’s slander! I’m just a farming entrepreneur helping my boys escape poverty and get rich!”
