My Prophecies Drove the World Crazy

July, Shacheng, 43 degrees.

Ye Qing receives a strange Huolala delivery order. The delivery address consists of nothing but a set of cold coordinates, pointing straight to the uninhabited depths of Lop Nur.

The cargo is unusually suspicious: winter clothes, heaters, and compressed biscuits. Every word in the note is heavy with urgency: Deliver it by noon three days from now. One moment late, and it's all for nothing. Lives are at stake.

He immediately calls the recipient, but the phone keeps saying they are outside the service area.

Just as Ye Qing is about to give up on the bizarre order, thunder suddenly explodes across the clear blue sky, and a cold mechanical voice rings out in his mind.

[Three days from now, at the center of Lop Nur, a sudden blizzard will strike, with temperatures dropping to minus 22 degrees.]

For the sake of a warning that lives are at stake, Ye Qing risks his life and enters the deadly uninhabited zone. Beneath a rift in the bed of the dried-up Lop Nur, he successfully digs out a stranded expedition team of twelve.

The rescued team members reveal a secret to him: deep in Lop Nur lies a gate through time and space that opens once every thousand years.

In the darkness beyond the gate, an unknown presence is slowly counting: thirteen, fourteen, fifteen... all the way to one hundred.

Deep in the rift, a blue orb of light that fell from the sky pulses slowly like a spiritual cocoon, as if nurturing some unknown, terrifying existence.

The crisis is not over yet when a second deadly prophecy arrives on schedule.

[Four days from now, in the Tokyo subway, Train 1207 will derail and the tunnel will catch fire.]

Some disasters can't be avoided. Some doors should never be opened.
