My Father Is Wei Zheng, and I Knock Li Shimin Unconscious from the Start

The ninth year of Wude, on the eve of the Xuanwu Gate Incident.

Wei Xian transmigrates to the Tang Dynasty and becomes the legitimate eldest son of Wei Zheng, the dynasty's number-one scold.

Seeing that his conveniently placed father is still risking his life for Li Jiancheng, Wei Xian turns around and goes straight to Prince Qin, Li Shimin.

He only plans to bluff his way through a few lines, earn some credit for backing the future emperor, and lie flat as an idle nobody. But who could have guessed that Li Shimin would be able to hear his inner thoughts?

"Your Highness, Japan is a long way away. I suggest we build friendly relations through a marriage alliance..."

[Friendly relations, my foot! That lousy island is full of silver mines. Send a few thousand musketeers over to steamroll it, and the Tang Dynasty won't have to worry about silver for a hundred years!]

Li Shimin suddenly draws the Imperial Sword, his eyes blazing red. "A marriage alliance? My foot! Wei Xian, hear my order. Start building warships at once, flatten Japan for me, and bring back every last bit of silver!"

Wei Xian is dumbfounded, and his father, Wei Zheng, is even more distraught. "Your Majesty! I beg you, stop listening to my son's advice! My Wei family really doesn't want to rebel!"
