They Say Studying Abroad Makes You a Fraud? Call Me the Father of Surgery

After transmigrating to 1980, I became the biggest laughingstock in the nation's medical community.

My predecessor had bought his way into a doctorate from Johns Hopkins with his family's money. He couldn't even tell which end of a scalpel to hold, and everyone in the medical field knew him as a useless foreign-educated fraud.

Yet back home, they treated him like a treasure, making a huge fuss over a public demonstration of an off-pump mitral valve replacement!

The country's leading cardiac surgeons sat in the audience, while a patient lay onstage, waiting for me to save their life.

The moment they handed me the scalpel, cold sweat soaked my back.

Ding! "Medical Equipment System activated."

"Item: A worn scalpel. Equipping it increases surgical precision by 300%."

"Item: A legendary suture needle. Equipping it cuts incision healing time in half."

The instant I gripped the scalpel, panoramic anatomical data unfolded before my eyes.

Incision, dissection, bypass: a fluid yet forceful display of surgical artistry that made the distinguished surgeons in the front row rise as one!

From then on, I developed domestically made stents using traditional methods, founded a new school of cardiac surgery, and trained wave after wave of outstanding Chinese surgeons.

They called me a fraud. I said:

I will bring an end to Western medicine's dominance in this era.
