You Were Supposed to Protect the Forest, So Why Did You Bring Home a National Treasure Panda?

Lin Bei quit his well-paid city job and returned to the Hundred Thousand Mountains, taking over his grandfather's forest ranger post.

He had planned on a relaxing retirement, growing vegetables, patrolling the mountains, and drinking tea.

But on his first day at work, a wild giant panda struggling to give birth collapsed outside his cabin.

With the situation critical, Lin Bei relied on his family's inherited skills and natural affinity with animals to deliver the panda cub successfully.

He thought that would be the end of it, but the giant panda refused to leave!

Nothing could chase it away. It even hugged his leg and begged to be adopted.

To feed this big eater, Lin Bei started livestreaming.

While other streamers sang and danced, Lin Bei showed viewers how he mixed formula for the giant panda and prepared bamboo shoot feasts.

“Streamer, you call this forest protection? You're clearly a caretaker for national treasures!”

“Oh my gosh, the giant panda is helping the streamer chop wood? Is that even normal?”

As his livestreams went viral, golden snub-nosed monkeys, snow leopards, South China tigers, and more and more wild animals began turning up at Lin Bei's ranger station for free food and lodging.

The head of the Forestry Bureau was at his wits' end. “I told you to protect the forest, and you turned the remote mountains into a national wildlife park?”
