The 1970s: The Stuttering Village Girl Takes Down the Capital’s Top Playboy

[1970s era + post-apocalyptic abilities + extreme contrast + love triangle among sent-down youths + coercive romance + taming her man and face-slapping]

Amid the endless sands of the Northwest, Yu Chuchu, a stuttering village girl with the worst class background, was being cruelly toyed with in a corner by three princelings from powerful families in the capital, all sent down to the countryside.

“A mute country bumpkin who can't even read, and you think you can control our chance to return to the city?”

The arrogant young man in the lead crushed her work-point book, his smile cruel and contemptuous.

Yu Chuchu hunched her shoulders, but in her eyes burned the bloodthirsty excitement of the female tyrant she'd been in her previous life during the apocalypse.

At the black market after midnight, the untouchable, arrogant young man was kicked so hard that his ribs broke, then pinned in the mud beneath someone's foot.

Yu Chuchu pulled off her coarse headscarf, lifted his bloodstained chin as she looked down at him, and tapped his face with the sickle in her hand.

“From the capital, are you? Call me ‘Grandma’ and I'll teach you how to survive among the dead.”

Later, heavy snow sealed off the mountains.

The once-arrogant big shot from the capital had bloodshot eyes as he pinned her to the hot kang bed. His voice shook as he pleaded, “Chuchu, don't give them their lives... Take mine too. Just look at me, all right?”
