I Joined a Dating Show to Fill a Spot, but My Top Scholar Secret Identity Is Out

Eighteen-year-old Lu Zhe has just become the nation’s top science student. To save up for a top-of-the-line computer, he lets his director uncle drag him onto a premier dating show as an ordinary contestant to make up the numbers.

“Remember, you’re there to be background scenery. Don’t steal the spotlight, keep your distance from the female guests, and just enjoy the free food and lodging!”

Lu Zhe readily agrees, then binds himself to the [Rule-Breaking All-Rounder System]. As long as he defies convention on the show, he can draw max-level skills and treasures from science, technology, and entertainment.

And so the dating show takes a wildly different turn.

While the others play piano and present flowers to confess their feelings, Lu Zhe plays “A Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix” on the suona in the courtyard, leaving the whole internet stunned as birds gather around him!

While the others take the female CEO on romantic dates, he takes the aloof executive to an internet cafe to play co-op games and write code, casually creating a globally renowned firewall!

Asked to write a love letter, he produces the sci-fi masterpiece The Three-Body Problem. Asked about his ideals, he unveils plans for a revolutionary AI!

By the time the show ends, everything has gone completely off the rails.

The cool female CEO, the top star of a hit girl group, and a beloved national actress all compete for his attention, while the country’s top universities and tech giants scramble to recruit him!

Lu Zhe spreads his hands helplessly. “I really only wanted to earn an appearance fee to buy a computer!”
