After a strange dream, Lin Xuan finds a defeated empress from another realm in his sea of consciousness.
Bent on revenge, the empress commandeers his body, forces him to drink ginger and earthworm soup every day, and makes him train in an extreme body-tempering art.
By day, Lin Xuan sprints beneath the blazing sun delivering food, tempering his body with the flesh and blood of mutated abyssal monsters. At night, the empress takes over, becoming the most elegant reaper in the darkness. She wields the most magnificent immortal techniques with the raw power of her physical body.
The two trade barbs across realms through phone recordings, and rely on each other for life and death during calls in the sea of consciousness.
When the Abyssal vanguard tears open the sky and the entire city falls into despair, the "Takeout God of War" everyone has been searching for finally drops his disguise.
Lin Xuan withstands demonic might capable of destroying heaven and earth with his body, while the empress in his sea of consciousness manifests the image of the Nine Heavens Mysterious Maiden.
Martial arts and the soul fuse perfectly. In that moment, both realms tremble. Lin Xuan grins:
"Hey, is this furnace body strong enough now?"
